What is needed for a successful pollinator garden? Learn from PA Master Gardeners Peggy Brown and Hazel Murray as they share their expertise and knowledge to inspire and inform your planting habits this spring. Bees, butterflies, flies, beetles, birds, and others are responsible for pollinating the majority of our world's crops. In fact, pollinators are responsible for about one-third of the food we eat. So how can we support this important part of our food chain? Pollinator gardens help provide nectar and pollen sources for these important pollinators. The Peters Township Environmental Quality Board will also highlight their “Pollinator Planting Challenge” initiative in the township.
