Explore the history of this exciting annual event from the 1940s and ‘50s with photographs, video, and memorabilia from the PTPL Historical Archives. Remember the days when Peters Township residents joined to enjoy horse shows, wheelbarrow races, and other festivities – including home-baked pies and cakes!
Join the PTPL Archives staff Margaret Deitzer and Consulting Archivist Carolyn Friedrich for a virtual celebration of the community’s Farm Fair. Using the resources and rich collections in the PTPL Archives, learn about the original Peters Township community event that started in the 1940s and how the two-day event evolved into Community Day for the Township. Registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting invitation. Register at http://tiny.cc/PTFarmFair. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
