Elizabeth Carter - Art Gallery
The exhibit is titled "An Unusual Journey". Elizabeth Carter creates intimate environments with her small wall sculptures, monotypes and collages. The sculptures incorporate found objects, many from the natural world. The monotypes and collages use similar imagery. Ms. Carter, who exhibits locally and nationally, has a BFA from Mass. College of Art and an MFA from the SMFA. She teaches drawing every summer in RISD's pre-college program. Join her for a reception on Wednesday July 15th from 5:30-7:30.

Learn basic mosaic skills and techniques. This three session class will have you cutting tile and creating your own mosaic-covered flower pot. This class is designed especially for beginners who have never done mosaic before. Three, two-hour sessions beginning July 7. Requirements: a tile nipper, your bits and pieces of tile, glass or broken china and your enthusiasm to get cracking. Free and open to all adults. Please register at the Reference Desk as space is limited.

Belly Dancing with its exciting and exotic music and its slow, sensual and graceful movements allows you to express different emotions. Belly Dancing is great for stretching and flexibility and a fun way to work your stomach, legs and arms while burning those surplus calories. Go at your own pace and have a good time. Wear comfortable clothing. Please do not wear sneakers or rubber-soled shoes. This workshop is free and open to all adults.

Our Friends at Animal Adventures are bringing us their new Dinosaur Program! Featuring fossils, dinosaur skulls, velociraptor claws, dinosaur skin and more dino artifacts that our audiences can see and touch as well as live animals such as monitor lizards, alligators, scorpions, birds, and snapping turtles, this is a program to excite any dinosaur lover. Ages four and up.
Because our space is tight, please pick up a ticket for the program at the Youth Services Desk in person. Tickets will be available starting July 6th (for Weston residents) and July 8th (for residents of other towns.)

Visit the night sky during the day with the Museum of Science's inflatable Planetarium! Learn about the stars in the sky, the constellations, and some of the science behind voyages to the stars. Ages 6 and up.

Come enjoy a new craft each week in the Teen Area. Drop by any time you are free and either pick up a Materials Kit from the Youth Services desk, or look for the supplies and instructions set out in the Teen Area. Feel free to relax, take your time, and work on your great new project! Open to all TEENS entering 6th grade and above.
Toddler Movies!

Join us with your toddlers for some favorite short films! Max and Ruby, Caillou, favorite Scholastic films and more! Movies will last approximately 30 minutes.

Has it been a long week? Join us for an afternoon movie! Family films will start promptly at 4:00 in the Storytime Room, and run for 90 minutes. Remember, the Library closes at 6:00, so you may want to pick out your books and make crafts first!

Join us for stories at the Library before bedtime! Listen to five or six stories on a summer theme. We don't promise a sleepy mood (especially if you do a craft in the Craft Room afterward) but you will have a fun listening experience! For ages three and up. Drop in.
