In her rare free time, newlywed Lee McKinney Woodyard works on TenHuis Chocolade's newst offerings, chocolate jewels. But soon the town of Warner Pier has its very own jewel heist, and then a body is found in the lake. Lee can't help but wonder if the crimes are related. Maybe if she digs up some dirt, she'll hit the mother lode.

This clever and inventive tale works on three levels: as an intriguing science fiction concept, a realistic character study and a touching love story. On the surface, Henry and Clare Detamble are a normal couple living in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. Henry works at the Newberry Library and Clare creates abstract paper art, but the cruel reality is that Henry is a prisoner of time. It's no wonder that the film rights to this hip and urban love story have been acquired.

Whether you love Valentine's Day or you loathe it, there will be fun activities for you to do. All Valentine's Day lovers wear red, and all Un-Valentine's Day loathers wear black. This will help set the mood. (You don't have to wear either color if you don't want to.) For those of you who fall somewhere in the middle, that's great!
