Organized by The Italian Film Festival USA in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh Department of French and Italian, this month-long nationwide film festival presents kicks off in Pittsburgh at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall.

In this the 11th year of the Festival, the award winning comedy, La Mafia Uccide Solo D'Estate (The Mafia Only Kills in Summer) is presented.

A story told through the eyes of Arturo who grows up in Palermo, a fascinating yet terrifying city ruled by the mafia. It is, in fact, a love story about Arturo's attempts to win the heart of his beloved Flora, who he considers a princess and with whom he has fallen head over heels in love since elementary school.

Join us for our 10th Annual Civil War Living History Day! Programming focuses on the Road to Appomattox in April 1865. Activities include the Lincoln Gallery of photographs, ongoing tours of the Capt. Thomas Espy Post, three lectures, re-enactors, encampments and drills, Civil War authors, tours of Chartiers Cemetery, crafters and sutlers, children's craft project in the library, and display of Carlynton High School History Fair projects. Special appearance and talk by Gen. Ulysses S. Grant (aka Kenneth J. Serfass). Ongoing documentary film on Appomattox in the library. Programming is made possible through generous funding from the Massey Charitable Trust and the Dollar Bank Foundation. Limited parking at the library. Use the free shuttle from the Main Street parking lot (across from Carnegie Coffee). Check back for detailed itinerary of events closer to the date.

Carnegie Performing Arts Center's Spring Children's Play.

The Little Princess is the story by Frances Hodgson Burnett which chronicles the adventures of young Sara Crewe, who goes from wealthy parlour boarder at an exclusive girls' school to a charity pupil forced to do the menial work of a servant. In this classic children's play, Sara Crewe triumphs over adversity by telling herself that "all girls are Princesses". A delightful fairy-tale ending makes this riches-to-rags-to-riches tale one that will captivate romantics of all ages.
