Nadine O. has always had a passion for inspiring others and sharing their stories. Graduating from Temple University in Communications, she continued her journey behind the scenes working on documentaries, public broadcast and commercial broadcast shows. After well over 20  years in the industry, Nadine knew there was more she wanted to do to help others.

Many of her loved ones and acquaintances facing life in retirement, struggled with lack of purpose. Nadine O. became driven to share with anyone in the second stage of their life, that "You are not done yet." Hence, the Yandy Project Podcast was born.

Join us to learn more about it! An audio show full of information, tips and inspirational conversations with people just like you. Nadine O. hopes to inspire you to take action. If others can, you can too! You just have to get out there and do it!"

Our Own Stories

In this nontraditional Preschool Story Time, books are read to preschoolers who love to read!  Songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and toys are used to help kids learn and love to read.  At the end of story time the kids are invited to put laminated pieces on a scene board and tell everyone their story that they created.  A great way to encourage imagination, creativity, and story-building!

Registration is NOT required. Tuesdays at 1:30pm

(Children learn best through role modeling. Caregivers are asked to be great role models and be attentive and engaged in the story time. Side conversations can take place during free play. Thanks!)

Come learn about Vincent Van Gogh’s life—one of art history’s most compelling stories.

He failed at just about everything he attempted during his short life but posthumously became the wonder of the world. He became the prototype for the misunderstood, tormented artist who sold just one painting in his lifetime. His is the story of a mad genius who made us see the world in a new way. Van Gogh was also an eloquent letter writer who chronicled with heartbreaking urgency his mental condition and how he came to understand that his art was the exclusive reason for his existence.

September 29th at 7:00 pm. Please register in advance.

Mr. Fred Dixon will present. He and his wife Martha are long-time art collectors. Their home in Chadds Ford has become a mini-museum with 130 paintings and sculpture pieces.  Fred and Martha were docents at the Barnes Foundation for 10 years.  In 2012, Fred published “700 Years of Art History: Pre-Renaissance to Modernism.”

**The book will be available for purchase at the discounted price of $35 for this lecture.**

Growing Old is NOT for Sissies*

Liam Pennywell has been downsized from his job. (not fires, you understand - downsized.) So he decides to downsize his whole life. He  didn't plan on getting mugged and ending up in the hospital.  He thought his life was empty before, now he can't even remember how he  ended up in the hospital.  Looking to fill in those hours, he may just fill in the life he's still living.

"Tyler's gift is to make the reader empathize with this flawed but decent man, and to marvel at how this determinedly low-key,  plainspoken novelist achieves miracles of insight and understanding."  from Publishers Weekly Reviews.
