Radnor Memorial Library, along with its partners Radnor Conservancy and Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens, invite you to our winter conservation film series that features 3 award-winning films that will be screened at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens, located at 631 Berwyn Baptist Road, in Devon. Admission is free and registration is not required.

January's film selection is Mind of a Giant.   Mind of a Giant explores what it is like to be an elephant, as revealed by revolutionary new research. As scientists struggle to find out how many elephants are left in Africa, they discover intriguing new behavior. We are discovering that elephants must be considered one of the most clever and complex creatures on the planet. They exhibit empathy, grief, joy, fear, and more emotions. They have self-awareness, can cooperate, and pass on information and adapt to solve problems in ways we never knew.

March's film selection is Jago, A Life Underwater.  JAGO is the life story of an 80 yr. old Bajau hunter who lives in a stilted bamboo hut in Sulawesi. The events of his life are voiced entirely by the yoda-like Rohani and recreated with existing Bajau people from local communities. Although Rohani’s story is a very personal one, it explores every facet of our relationship with the ocean and each other.
