S.M.Art Kids: Factology explores different mythical and fantastic topics based off the popular interactive books! Complete STEM based challenges and explorations as spies, pirates, monsters and mummies. Open to kids in grades 1 to 4.  Held at at Radnor United Methodist Church, 930 Conestoga Rd, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Registration is required for each individual session and begins August 24.   This month's topic: Egyptology.

How are paintings cared for?  What can we learn about them through various imaging and analytical methods? Mary McGinn, Paintings Conservator at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, will share stories from her 25 year career working on paintings, murals, frames and decorative objects in museums and private collections. This fall conservation film series features 3 award-winning films that will educate and inspire us to become engaged in conservation.  Presented by Radnor Memorial Library, Radnor Conservancy, and Jenkins Arboretum and Gardens.  Held at Jenkins Arboretum and Gardens,  631 Berwyn Baptist Rd, Devon, PA 19333.  This December's film selection is Wild Yellowstone: Frozen Frontier.  In Yellowstone, North America’s first National Park, every animal fights for survival, struggles to find food and tries to stay alive--against an onslaught of heavy snow, polar temperatures and ferocious predators.
