“The place has entered me...it has coloured my life like a stain.”     Adam Nicolson

Most stories are set in a place  Sometimes, the place doesn't matter much, doesn't seem to have much impact on the story being told.  but other times, the place is so big a part of the story, it can seem like another character.  Certainly, it seems some stories can only exist in certain places.

Eileen O'Neill struggles to rebuild both her shattered family and her beloved Yellow House just as the war for Irish independence is declared, a time that his defined her relationships with two men--James Conlon, a passionate activist bent one independence from Britain at any cost, and Owen Sheridan, a wealthy pacifist.  From the publisher's description.

Copies of the book will be available at the circulation desk after 11/13/17.
