ent_filmproj 6:30 PM  -  7:30 PM First Friday Free Film     Tell a Friend

The Library wraps up its First Friday Free Film series with the award-winning mockumentary, "The Golden Scallop”.

Three fictional Cape Cod restaurants compete for the 43rd annual Golden Scallop award: one with sexy waitresses and a world-renowned French chef; one with a lovesick cook pursuing the reluctant manager; and a food truck run by two brothers despised in town due to their late father’s crimes.

Any Cape Codder who has worked in a seafood restaurant (as did the filmmaker) or anyone who’s dined in one, will laugh aloud at “The Golden Scallop,” directed by Joseph Laraja.

Join us in the Eastham Town Hall Earle Mountain Room on Friday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m.

NEW LIBRARY TO BE PREVIEWED ON JUNE 8th AT ANNUAL MEETING OF FRIENDS OF THE EASTHAM PUBLIC LIBRARY

Joelle Szerdi, Oudens Ello Architure, Project Manager to Present Talk and ‘Virtual Tour’

Eastham, Massachusetts, May 23, 2016Residents of Eastham and neighboring towns will have an opportunity to take a “virtual tour” of the interior of their “incredible” new library at the annual meeting of The Friends of the Eastham Public Library, on Wednesday, June 8, at 4 p.m., at the Town Hall (Earle Mountain Room).

Joelle Szerdi, an architect with Oudens-Ello and project manager for furniture, fixtures, and equipment, will deliver a PowerPoint presentation, supported by photos, about the new facility that has grown rapidly during this past year on the grounds of its long-standing predecessor.

“We are excited to provide the public with its first inside look at our incredible new library,” said Judy Sebastian, the Friends’ president. “We encourage as many residents as possible to attend—and will also look forward to welcoming them at the actual facility in the coming months.”

In addition to the presentation, there will be a brief business meeting, at which a slate of officers will be presented.
