    Program for children registered for LEGO WeDo session 4.

For Kindergarten to 3rd grade. Kids will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as language and literacy. Class size is limited, so please register early for your session!

Four 4-Week Sessions, please register for one session. Fridays at 4:30 pm:
  • Session 1:February 1 through 22;
  • Session 2:March 1 through 22;
  • Session 3: April 5 through 26;
  • Session 4: May 3 through 24.

Adult caregivers also socialize and become more informed on topics that play a key role in young children's growth and development through weekly guest speakers. General age guidelines are birth through age 6, but all ages are welcome. Storytime will be presented at 11:00 am. This will be a four-week Tuesday session and will end on June 11. Art and Inspiration with William Rock presents an evening with Huang Xiang.

Poetry, art and music. Huang Xiang is China's most eminent poet of the twentieth century and a multiple nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. Mimi Jong plays the erhu, an ancient Chinese string instrument; Miles Jackson plays the bass. William Rock and Huang Xiang generate the dialogue between the cultures with their art and poetry. This is an evening of historic proportions, not to be missed.

    SNHL can help young students walk into their Kindergarten or first grade classroom with a real sense of confidence by reviewing some of the reading concepts they’ve already learned and maybe some new ones! We will use a variety of strategies that everyone will enjoy including games, art, music, and drama. We will review and introduce some important reading skills such as, phonemic awareness, sound/letter correspondence, vocabulary word review, comprehension skills, multi-step direction following, listening skills, work habits and more!
