This month's book: How Oliver Olson Changed the World by Claudia Mills, pictures by Heather Maione

Afraid he will always be an outsider like ex-planet Pluto, nine-year-old Oliver finally shows his extremely overprotective parents that he is capable of doing great things without their help while his class is studying the solar system.

A monthly book club for kids in elementary school. Sign up in the Children's Library to get a copy of the book from the library. The first 15 kids who sign up will receive a FREE paperback copy of the book, generously provided by the Friends of the Pawtucket Public Library. When the free copies have been all given out, families can borrow a copy of the book from the library. Kids can read the book on their own or with someone else. All the readers are invited to attend the Book Club for Kids program on Saturday, November 7th at 11:00am in the Children’s Caidin Room to laugh about favorite parts, play a trivia game, and make a craft.
