Children with their families are invited to the Campbell Auditorium for a free G rated movie. This month's feature will be a 1959 Disney animated classic.  When the young princess Aurora is cursed at birth by the evil fairy Maleficent, the baby is kidnapped by a trio of good fairies who raise the girl themselves, hoping to avoid the spell's fulfillment. Nevertheless, at the age of 16, the beautiful Aurora falls into a deep sleep that can only be awakened by a kiss from her betrothed, Prince Phillip. Knowing that Phillip intends to save Aurora, Maleficent takes him prisoner. When the good fairies launch a rescue attempt, Maleficent transforms herself into a spectacular fire-breathing dragon, forcing Phillip to defeat her in mortal combat.

Bring a snack, sit back, and enjoy the show!

To celebrate the release of the latest book in the Wimpy Kid series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul (Book 9), the Pawtucket Children's Library is throwing a party! Join us at the library as we transform the Campbell Auditorium into the Wimpy Kid Game Show. See if you will be chosen to come up on stage to test your knowledge and skills when it comes to Wimpy Kid trivia and challenges to win prizes. Or just sit back and enjoy the show as an audience member. At the end of the program, 2 copies of the new book will be given away to some lucky kids/tweens. Even if you don't win, each kid/tween who comes to the event will receive a FREE Wimpy Kid bookmark.

FREE and no registration needed.

Wild Heroes

Spiderman!  Batman!  Aquaman!  Just like many famous superheroes have animal powers, every animal has the power to be a superhero.  In our newest children’s program, “Wild Heroes” children get the opportunity to meet several of our animal friends and learn about their special abilities that make them a hero in their own way.  We hope that children will leave the show understanding that they can be a hero in their own way too.

Every hero has a story!  Come discover ours!
