Kids all around the state are reading this hilarious book as part of Kids Reading Across RI 2015. Kids Reading Across Rhode Island, Rhode Island's One Book, One State community read program for kids is in its 6th year.  This program, offered in partnership with the Rhode Island Center for the Book at the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities, encourages students across the state in grades 4 through 6 to read the same book, and engage in community discussions and programs. This year’s selection is Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures by award winning author and National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, Kate DiCamillo.

Sign up for this special book club program and receive a FREE copy of the book (while supplies last!). Read the book on your own or with someone else and then come to the program on Wed. July 29th at 6pm to talk about your favorite parts, play a trivia game, and make a craft.

To register, visit the Children's Library, call 401-725-3714 x209 or e-mail rperron@pawtucketlibrary.org

Sign up for one or just come hang out and see if the girls have any free time for you. This program is for children of all ages.

"For young kids, one of the big challenges in learning to read is the embarrassment of making mistakes. Reading to dogs provides a simple solution -- a non-judgmental, comforting furry friend who "listens" and takes the pressure off a child as he stumbles." - ABC News (8/18/10)

These classes are babies' first story classes (usually  newborns through age 2 years) at the Pawtucket Library.  These classes have  stories, songs, rhymes and social play time. Mother Goose story classes are a wonderful way to share time with your baby while introducing a love of books and the library. We provide a fun environment  where babies and toddlers can work on their important early literacy skills. Registration not required.
