Have you always wanted to meet a famous artist? Now you can. On November 4 and 5, World Record setting artist, Walter DeForest brings “Van Gogh Find Yourself” #vgfy, to Derby Public Library. His most recent tour of France, Belgium followed Vincent Van Gogh’s footsteps ending in 30 performances in 24 days at the Largest Arts Festival in the world, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe. #vgfy is an interactive performance that blends storytelling and live drawing and has garnered over 50 5 Star reviews for Walter’s Metropolitan Museum of Art AirBnB Experience. In the performance, the audience creates alongside the master while an intimate portrait of Vincent’s life is revealed. This will be DeForest’s first library performance and 1st in his hometown, across the street from Irving School where he attended K through 8th grade.
