REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED; PLEASE BE SURE TO REGISTER EACH CHILD SEPARATELY. ALSO, PARENTS/CAREGIVERS DO NOT NEED TO BE REGISTERED, ONLY THEIR CHILDREN.

Children ages 3-11 are welcome to be part of the popular B.A.R.K. (Be A Reading Kid) program here at the library. This is a great opportunity for beginner or reluctant readers - as well as experienced readers - to build confidence, enhance literary skills achieved during the school year, and develop a love of reading.

The Derby Public Library welcomes therapy dog Molly who is following in her brother Ollie’s “paw steps”.   Children will be given a 10-minute time slot to read and may select a book from home, or one they have already checked out from the library, to share with her for the program.

The program will be held outside and participants are requested to follow CDC guidelines.
