Fascinated by pattern and color from an early age, Allison grew up in the woods of Killingworth, CT on 22 acres of land that included a variety of trees and plants, wetlands, wildlife and glacial stone. The addition of a 3/4 acre pond, dug out of a spring-fed wetland in the 1960s, has provided inspiration for many of her images through the years. Allison still spends a lot of time outdoors – gardening, prowling the shoreline, hiking nature trails and backyard birding. She lives in Guilford, CT.
In addition to traditional images of the natural world, Allison creates water pattern abstracts, kaleidoscopic floral mandalas, and mirrored collages, all of which are perfect for home decor.
Allison prints her own work using archival inks and paper.
