The Lyme Library is  honored to have award-winning actress, author, producer and film historian Illeanna Douglas appear to read from her new book “Connecticut in the Movies: From Dream Houses to Dark Suburbia”. Filled with insightful details about the many films that were shot in Connecticut as well as how the state has been perceived in films since the silent era, “Connecticut in the Movies” is a must-read for anyone who loves films. A resident of Connecticut, Ms. Douglas brings her love of the location and her knowledge as a film historian to bear when she writes about the fascinating facts of filmmaking in Connecticut. Ms. Douglas’ book will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
