Please join mycologist Dr. Rick Van de Poll for a photographic and informative journey underground in search of the weirdly curious fungi.

From the rains alone it would appear that these mysterious organisms pop up from "nowhere" in such profusion that you can't help but step on them! Last summer's profusion was proof that fungi are nearly everywhere and can manifest in beautiful (and ugly?) mushrooms in a matter of minutes or hours. Find out the fascinating backstory of the 'Fifth Kingdom,' which has not only been around for hundreds of millions of years, but which has supported nearly every single life form on the planet including ourselves! All attendees beware! Touching, smelling, and/or eating wild mushrooms may result in looking down at the ground for the rest of your life!
