The Derby Public Library continues to offer an after-school S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) program taking place on the fourth Tuesday of every month during the school year. Children in grades 2-5 are invited to stop by each month in which a new theme will be the focus covering topics such as simple machines, weather, and more with hands-on activities and experiments.  There is no fee to attend and all materials will be provided for this interactive, hour-long program.  This month's topic is entitled Winter Water where we explore how the drop in temperature during the colder months will affect water’s form.

NOTE: This month's session date was originally listed as January 19th with the description also stating each month's session would be held the third Tuesday of the month; however, this is no longer the case, for anyone that may have seen it previously listed this way.  Each month's session will now be held tentatively on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
