Monday May 27, 2013
The Parade will step off from the Lucky Dawg at 1 pm on Monday, May 27th and proceed down to the Town Memorial Park in front of First Church for the Ceremony at approximate 1:30 pm.  The Trolley will be available for any Veteran who would like to ride in the Parade.  The Pembroke High School Band & the Brockton Cosmo Legion Band will participate as well as The 22nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Civil War Unit.  All Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Youth Groups, & the Pembroke Military Support Group are invited & encourage to attend.

First Church in Pembroke's annual Olde Home Days Fair will open Wednesday, May 29th at 6 pm and run through Saturday, June 1st.  The fair will be open Wed-Fri 6-10 and Sat noon-10pm.  There will be a variety of rides for all ages, and the wristband special (pay one price) is available Wed and Thurs from 6-10, as well as Sat from noon-4 pm.  Delicious food will ba available at the snack bar.  Traditional Lobster Supper will be served starting at 6:30 Friday evening.  Cost $16 includes lobser, fresh coleslaw, baked potato, rolls, dessert and beverage (or, $16.00 buys two lobster rolls).  Pancake Breakfast is Saturday morning 8-10 ($3 short stack, $5 super stack).  Strawberry Shortcake Festival on Saturday 1-3 pm is $3.50 and includes a shortcake make with fresh strawberries, biscuit and whipped cream.

Citizen Kane started out 10 years ago in Pembroke when neighbors Chris Kane and Pete Siegal began playing together on a somewhat regular basis just for fun.  Other band member includes Phil Somontes, Mike Muzyka, Mike Mari and Nick Anastas.  The band mostly plays rock and roll, and blues classics, with a little of everything throng-in- but if you haven’t heard them recently, you haven’t heard them!

Above Ground Band will perform Classic Rock and Blues from the 70’s to current.   Above Ground was born when Dave Balkcom contacted Mike Muyzka thru Craiglist looking for a guitarist/singer.  Guy Bognano later joined to play drums and Mark Bertolo came on board to be the bassist.  The most recent member to join is Steve Asmond as the vocalist and front person.

Red, White and Blues are local area musicians playing in the Pembroke, Massachusetts area and they love playing music. Their influences are Northern and Southern Rock, Blues, Improv & Jams, they love it all. RWB have been together for 14+ years and have been seen on cable TV, local venues as well as private parties in the area. They have recorded 3 CDs of original songs which they have available through their website and our shows.
