Please note: Many of the museums are also requiring customers to
reserve a time slot in addition to using the library pass (please visit the venue's website).

The Bloomfield Public Library offers patrons free or discounted admission to many area attractions! Museum passes may be borrowed using an adult library card  (one pass per family per day). Library museum passes cannot be combined with any other coupon or discount offer. 


Printable Passes

To make your own reservation online, you MUST be able to print the completed pass when reserving. If you cannot print your pass, you can make a reservation by calling either library and the library will print the pass for you. You may pick it up using our curbside service. 

  • You will need your valid adult library card to reserve a pass.
  • Bloomfield and out-of-town patrons (in the same system) may reserve/print passes online or at the library.
  • Please call the library if you need assistance reserving a pass.
  • Passes may be reserved and printed up to 30 days in advance of your visit.
  • Passes are valid ONLY for the specific day reserved.
  • Limit of TWO pass per day per family with a maximum of EIGHT unique pass reservations in any 30 day period.


Non-Printable Passes

The following passes CANNOT be printed. They must be picked up at the library in person. We will hold the pass for curbside up to one day in advance. These passes circulate for 3 days. 

  • CT State Parks & Forests No Library Pass Program at this time.
  • Beardsley Zoo (pick up at Prosser only) Pass is available at the library. Check the website or call to check availability for checkout.
  • Maritime Aquarium No Library Pass Program at this time.

  • Springfield Museums (pick up at Prosser only) check availabilty Pass is available at the library. If you would like to purchase a ticket at Springfield Museums using the library pass, you will need to do this transaction in person on the day of your visit at the Springfield Museum Welcome Center.  If using this pass, be aware of Library blackout dates. Please note: Florence Griswold Museum charges an event surcharge of $5 per person over 12 (even with free pass) during our special fall event Wee Faerie Village (dates vary yearly). This charge is applied whether visitors intend to see the faerie houses or not. Children 12 and under are admitted free thanks to an anonymous grant.

We are now accepting all patrons to visit the museum. You MUST still have a timed ticket to attend. It is free to reserve your tickets, you will make any payment once you arrive at the museum. Tuesday through Friday times are 9-12 or 1-4. You can attend anytime during your timed ticket, but must leave at the end of your time so the museum can do an intense cleaning of the museum between guests. There will be no re-entry unless you reserve tickets for both times. Saturdays and Sundays will be 12-4. If you do not have timed tickets and the museum is already at capacity, unfortunately you will not be allowed to enter. Please reserve a ticket for every member of your party- regardless of age

The Zoo will begin normal spring operating hours this Saturday (April 10). We will be open 7 days/week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the last ticket sold at 3. All guests, including members, must pre-purchase/reserve tickets at buytickets.at/forestparkzoo. This include library patrons who have rented the library pass for a given day. You will need a special code. Please reserve the library pass before reserving zoo tickets to get the special code. 
Up to five free admissions for each visit (one visit per day). 
 
*Please note that The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center is an independent non-profit located inside of a city  park. The City of Springfield charges a daily parking fee of $3 per in-state and $5 per out-of-state passenger car CASH ONLY.
