Tales for 2s and 3s

A storytime specifically geared for toddlers who are 24-36 months old with a caregiver. We will read great stories, sing songs, and have plenty of music, movement, and fun that encourages your toddler’s language and development skills! Caregivers are encouraged to actively engage in activities with their child! No registration required.

Teen - Summer Volunteer Informational Meeting

Attention teens! Think ahead to summer! Take advantage of a great opportunity to volunteer at the library during the summer of 2018! Whether you will be a new or returning teen volunteer (entering grades 6-12), please be sure to attend both the informational meeting (May 2 at 6:30 pm) AND the summer teen volunteer training (May 23 at 5:30 pm).  Registration is required separately for both meetings.

May 23 training: teens only (pizza provided)

Preschool Story Alphabet Explorers

Join our preschool program where children ages 3-5 can explore stories through songs, retellings, STEM activities and a craft.  A new letter of the alphabet will be introduced each week.  No registration required. There will be no storytime on February 16 or March 30.

Book to Movie Club: Discussion

Senior Living Choices - Where Should I Go?

Moving into a senior living community has many implications. Tracy Thorpe Scott, from Arrowood at Southwestern,  will lead a brief discussion on the levels of senior living and what to expect if you are considering or moving into a community.

Evening with Pittsburgh Medium Marjorie Rivera
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Rev. Marjorie Rivera will share the story of her gift and engage several audience members in a demonstration of her work. Join us for this thought-provoking experience. Refreshments will be provided.

** Rev. Rivera will read for as many people as she can but not every person will get a reading. Information about private readings will be available before and after the show.

Guests must have a purchased ticket to attend the program.  Tickets are $20. You can purchase them ONLINE, or at the library.

Library Board of Trustees Meeting

Members of the Baldwin Board of Trustees are volunteers who donate their time and service to the library and it’s role in the community. The Board sets policy, fiscal goals and strategic direction in support of the Library’s mission and vision.

Baldwin Borough Public Library's Board of Trustees is composed of seven citizens of the community, appointed by Baldwin Borough Council. They serve 3-year terms and may be reappointed. The Board meets monthly at 7pm on the third Thursday of each month at the Library and all meetings are open to the public.

Touch-A-Truck 2018

Our 4th Annual Touch-a-Truck is here!

Climb in trucks! Honk the horns! FREE earplugs! FREE bike safety helmets from Baldwin Kiwanis! Great family fun!

A Touch-a Truck event invites local public works departments, organizations and community truck owners to set–up their vehicles and let kids get behind the wheel, honk the horns, take pictures and meet the men and women who operate the trucks every day. We will also have hands on activities for kids.

NEW: Tickets can be purchased online!
Tickets can also be purchased the day of the event. We do not have a limit on tickets sales, so don't worry, we won't sell out!

**All monies raised from this event will directly benefit the Baldwin Borough Public Library and be used for its general operations, programs and services.
