LIBRARIES ROCK! Summer Reading at Baldwin Library

Summer Reading begins June 1 and concludes on August 24.

For children birth through entering 5th grade: Registration begins at our Summer Reading Kickoff Party on June 1 at 6:30 pm (registration required - please see June 1 event listing) and is ongoing throughout the summer. Children earn tickets and tokens for time spent reading: tickets for chances to win end-of-summer reading prizes, and tokens they can enter into charity boxes of their choosing to help "give back" to those in need. We conclude our program with our end-of-summer BBQ on August 24 at 6:30 pm (registration required - please see August 24 event listing).

For teens: Calling all teens in grades 6-12 to register for teen summer reading! Every 50 pages read earns you a raffle ticket for more chances to win awesome gift cards and YA books!

For adults: For every book read, simply fill out a reading slip and drop it in our raffle basket. There will be a weekly drawing throughout the summer!

Please register for summer reading in person at the library.  We look forward to seeing you!

Amazing Grapes Ohio Amish Day Trip
7:30 AM - 7:30 PM

Amazing Grapes Ohio Amish Day Trip – October 27

Ohio’s Amish Country, with its rich farmland, has developed a number of alternative agricultural businesses – one is vineyards. From the delicious food selections to the samplings of their grapes, we will have an amazing adventure.

Broad Run Cheese and Swiss Heritage Winery is a great way to begin our day with purchases of cheese and wine to enjoy.  Lunch will be a feast at a local Amish home.  Walnut Creek Cheese is a fabulous place to purchase bulk food items, spices, kitchen gadgets, meats and deli items.  We will enjoy a wine tasting at Breitenbach Winery and Silver Moon Winery before heading home in a happy mood after a wonderful day in Amish Country!

Please register with full payment by September 20, 2018

Cost: $105/per person
