The Penn State Pesticide Education Program and Penn State Master Gardener Program will present a poison prevention program for children and caregivers. Topics include pest management, chemical cleaners, safe practice for storing fuel, and weed control. Children will learn about safe practices including identifying signal words on labels that indicate a product is poisonous. Take-home packets will be included along with Mr. Yuk stickers.

The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and PNC Financial Services are once again bringing Y On the Fly to neighborhood libraries, delivering games, activities and healthy snacks. Each visit will incorporate active play and discussion around healthy eating. Activities will include jumping rope, various sports, obstacle courses and games with water. After play, kids will be provided with a nutritious snack, which they help to make, and are then given the recipe to take home.
