Henny Sinding and the Gerda III
11:00 AM

This summer, we are partnering with the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) to bring your child even more wonderful programming opportunities!

Your child can join The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, the Museum of Jewish Heritage and the Mystic Seaport Museum for a wonderful Henny Sinding and the Gerda III program via Zoom! Participants will virtually board a historic Danish lighthouse tender that was used to save Jews, ferrying them into neutral Sweden during WWII and learn the true story of Henny Sinding, a young woman who took incredible risks to save some 300 Danish Jews. Attendees will be able to view the inside of the boat, ask questions, and hear from survivor Leo Goldberger, who was smuggled to safety on a Danish boat in the middle of the night.

Please visit https://tinyurl.com/5845xyek to register.
