Chill Out and Read Winter Reading Club

The weather outside may be frightful, but inside it’s nice and toasty! Cuddle up with a warm drink and some good books, and be eligible to win great prizes!  Winter Reading Club is free and simple!

For Kids birth-Grade 5: Just stop into the library and pick up a reading record! Every time you read or listen to a book, simply record it by title or tally mark.  You will receive a raffle ticket for every 10 books read and become eligible to win prizes that will be raffled at the end of each month! Books read also count toward our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.

For Teens Grades 6-12: Simply fill out a reading slip for each title read and enter it into the container in the teen department to be eligible to win gift cards!

For Adults: Fill out a reading slip for each title read and enter it into the container in the main library to be eligible to win a monthly prize!

This program runs from January 9 through March 31

Huntington Learning Center will present a FREE one-hour informational seminar, give an overview of each test and what is entailed, educate about their similarities and differences, and answer any questions you may have. Members of the Baldwin Board of Trustees are volunteers who donate their time and service to the library and it’s role in the community. The Board sets policy, fiscal goals and strategic direction in support of the Library’s mission and vision.

Baldwin Borough Public Library's Board of Trustees is composed of seven citizens of the community, appointed by Baldwin Borough Council. They serve 3-year terms and may be reappointed. The Board meets monthly at 7pm on the third Thursday of each month at the Library and all meetings are open to the public.

Paws for a Cause with Animal Friends

We welcome Animal Friends back to the library for our winter program lineup! Each month, children have the opportunity to meet at least one approved literacy dog, hear stories, read aloud to a four-legged friend, and participate in a literacy activity.  Readers of all ages and abilities are welcomed! Because all visits are done on a volunteer basis, we are asking all participants to bring along one item from the Animal Friends Supply Drive list which can be found here or on our website.  Registration required.
