Let's Talk Myths and History of the Boston Red Sox

Mr. Johnson is the co-author (with Glenn Stout) of Red Sox Century, a critically acclaimed book that has been widely acknowledged as the definitive history of the team.
Established as part of the founding of the American League in 1901, Boston won the very first World Series in 1903 as well as four more before the end of World War I. An agonizing 86-year title drought ensued. During that time, the history of the team was a much debated topic that was often framed in faux history, conjecture, and the occult.
Johnson will discuss the groundbreaking research that went into his book and the myths that surround the Red Sox.
Question and answer session will follow.
