Nora Valdez Sculpture

Nora Valdez, one of the National Endowment for the Arts Main Street Art Project grant artists, will speak about her sculpture sited at the library.  Come hear her talk about the process and the piece of sculpture and then walk to the Fitchburg Art Museum (FAM) to tour her one-person exhibition which opens June 23.   Nora Valdez won last year's FIRST PRIZE at the Regional Exhibition of Art & Craft at FAM.

Fahrenheit 451 Read Aloud Discussion
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Over five weeks readers will read aloud from Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451.  Each day will be 30-40 mins. of listening followed by a discussion about the book up to that point.  Bring your brown bag lunch or a knitting or handsewing project to work on while listening. Beverages will be provided.

First Monday of every month the Friends of the Fitchburg Public Library hold their booksale.  The collection contains fiction and non-fiction, adult, children, and young adult books and other materials.  The books are donated and the whole sale is turned over within a 6 month period.  New material is added every month.  Open to all.
