Join local author and performer Sparkie Allison for musings and music related to her newly published book Moon's Embrace.
Reality and fiction blur in this laugh-out-loud first novel by performing songwriter, Sparkie Allison. When Dr Alexis Wolfe leaves the hectic pace of the Emergency Room for a visit to her grandfather in the Catskills her world is thrown into reverse and her two small dogs, Sonnet and Spirit, lead her into a sharp turn.
Sparkie Allison is an award-winning performing songwriter with a passion for telling stories with a little twisted humor, and giving voice to all of the dogs in her life.

The library's Book Club will meet to discuss Suzanne Berne's book THE GHOST AT THE TABLE.
A brief summary: Strikingly different since childhood and leading very dissimilar lives now, sisters Frances and Cynthia have nevertheless managed to remain "devoted"—so long as they stay on opposite coasts. But with the reappearance of their elderly, long-estranged father they find themselves reunited for a cold, snowy Thanksgiving week—a reunion that awakens sleeping tensions and old sorrows. The Ghost at the Table reveals what happens when one person tries to rewrite another's history and explores the mystery of why families try to stay together even when it may be in their best interests to stay apart.
