What is EventKeeper?

EventKeeper is an easy-to-use online event calendar that enables organizations to add and update information on upcoming events without having to nag a webmaster or struggle to learn complicated technical procedures. EventKeeper is actually a data-driven Cold Fusion application, but you don't need to understand what that means in order to use its intuitive interface.

You don't need a web site or available web space to have an EventKeeper calendar.

How can I customize my EventKeeper page?

You choose the headlines and photo or logo for your calendar page. You also select colors for the background, headlines, date bars, small calendar and popup screens. Additionally, you choose keywords and their wording so that viewers of your calendar can find events by location, by type, by age group or whatever categories make sense for your organization.

Please contact Plymouth Rocket if you would like your calendar to match your web site even more than can be done with the standard customization.

As often as you like. Five times a day or once a month, as you prefer!

How many different people can update the event information?

You can have unlimited editors if they share user accounts. Your organization can have up to 3 user accounts. Each user account is designated as either "Admin" or assigned a "Team Name". Admin editors may edit any event, Team editors can only edit events created by their Team. Any editor's events can be required to be approved by an Admin editor.

Can I check the events being entered by other people before they are made public?

Yes. If you are an Admin Editor, you can configure EventKeeper so that any events entered by a Team Editor will require your approval before they can be seen by the public.

Are outdated events automatically deleted from our calendar?

Yes, if you want them to be. If you prefer past months' events to be accessed by visitors, you have that option too.

Are all event listings public?

Yes. The basic EventKeeper calendar was designed for organizations that wish their calendars to be open to the public. Beginning with version 3.0 you may purchase an EventKeeper Extra which allows for private events on a public calendar or a totally private calendar.

Can EventKeeper handle repeated events and those that span several days?

Yes and yes. Adding repeated events with one click saves you the tedium of having to reenter information that belongs on several days. Each item added to your calendar is added as a separate event and will be counted in your total number of events. EventKeeper also accommodates events that take place over several days.
