Add an EventKeeper link to your web site and your calendar is live, up-to-date and available to everyone. Be sure to check out the ways to customize your calendar with advanced options and special features which are included with EventKeeper and available whenever you're ready for them. There are also EventKeeper Extras which can be purchased to provide support for more events, other languages, private events, custom forms, and public event submission.

In a nutshell, you will find EventKeeper:

Easy to create

Once you've signed up, we’ll send you an email with everything you need to get started. You’ll soon be entering your event dates, times, titles and descriptions.

Simple for anyone to maintain

No Webmaster or technical knowledge is necessary! Anyone on your staff with a user id and password can fill in an online form to add or change events. Enter single day events, events spanning several days, or easily enter a repeating event.

Convenient for users

Unlike a static page listing your event schedule, EventKeeper is a calendar visitors can search by date, by type of event, or by other criteria that you choose. They can even click on an underlined date on the graphic calendar in the upper right corner to learn what's happening on that day. They can also click to see events on a pictorial calendar of that month.

So whether you have three events or three hundred listed, users can quickly find what they're looking for. There is also a printer-friendly version so those viewing your calendar can print it without distracting text or links.

Integrated with your Web site

Simply link to your EventKeeper calendar from your web site and most visitors won't realize they've entered pages hosted by us.

Affordable and Ad-free

We don't add advertisements to your events page. Your visitors see only what you have chosen for them to see. Ad-free EventKeeper, complete with advanced customization options and special features, costs your organization just $275 a year.

Reliable and hassle-free

Since EventKeeper resides on our Web server, with no software for you to download, install, or update; we take care of all the technicalities on your behalf. EventKeeper will always be running smoothly, without hair-raising glitches or outages.

Advanced Options

Besides the basic setup information that everyone needs to enter (e.g. the name and website of your organization), you can specify many other options so that EventKeeper fits the needs of your organization and your patrons.

  • Keywords for Selecting Events - You can associate keywords with an event, which will allow visitors to select groups of events by event location, by age group, by department or any other criteria appropriate for your events. You choose whether EventKeeper will display one keyword for selecting events, two or none at all.

  • Display Options - You can choose which display option your calendar viewers see first. Users can initially see the entire list of events or just those in the current month or year, as you prefer. Users can also begin with the one month pictorial view.

  • Look and Feel - You control the look and wording of your EventKeeper calendar, including choice of colors for text, background and title bars, and specification of wording for page headlines, headers and footers.

  • HTML Code - You may insert HTML code (bold, graphics, hot links) within listings or notes if you so choose.

  • Popup Notes - For any event, you may include a reusable pop-up note with additional event information, such as directions, concert program, course syllabus, etc.

  • Event Templates - Create templates for your most commonly entered types of events. Your calendar will be consistent and your editing will go quickly.

  • Customized Help Screens - You can create special instructions or reminders for your organization to assist your data entry or editing staff.

Special Features

The following options are just a little less common but they are still easy to use if you need them.

  • Team Editing, where you designate certain staff members who may enter event information that does not appear on the Web site until it is approved. Team editors may only edit events created by members of their teams.

  • General Notes - You may create groups of notes which contain information not related to a specific date.

  • Tell a Friend - Activate this feature so your calendar visitors can quickly tell others about your events.

  • Event Reminders - Calendar viewers can request an email reminder to be sent to them one week, two days, or one day prior to the event.

  • Conflict Resolution - If you choose to enable this feature, EventKeeper will warn you when the event you are editing will conflict with one that already exists (based on location or keywords). In addition, editors can be configured so that they can not enter conflicting events.

  • EK Feed - Add an “upcoming events” section to your home page; show your users what’s happening today, this week, or this month.

  • Kiosk Mode - If you have a kiosk in your lobby, configure EventKeeper in a kiosk mode to show a scrolling list of events.

  • Hit Counter - You may insert a Hit Counter into the footer on any EventKeeper Event List page.

  • Event Archiving - Editors can save any Event List page to a local computer.
EventKeeper Extras

Please check our list of services for pricing of these extras.
  • EK Registration - Please go to the EK Registration page for more details.

  • EK Rooms - Please go to the EK Rooms page for more details.

  • Private Events - This option allows you to include events on your public calendar that are hidden from the general public. Users must be logged in to see these Private Events. Users may be given the right to see these events without the right to edit them.

  • Additional Events - If you have lots of current events or you wish to archive past events on the EventKeeper servers you may purchase another block of events, notes and editors.

  • Public Event Submission - If you maintain a community calendar where the events are planned and submitted by other organizations, this option is perfect for you. A simple event entry form is provided for submitters; you receive an email and a pre-formatted event to review.

  • Multi-Language Support - This addition to a Standard EventKeeper subscription allows your calendar to be configured to display the EventKeeper framework in a different language. To ensure accuracy, the translation of individual events is still performed by your organization. Spanish support has been released; other languages are possible by special request.

  • Custom EventKeeper Calendar - The configuration options in EventKeeper let you do a lot to make your calendar match the rest of your web site. If you would like to take the next step and create a custom, branded EventKeeper calendar page, please contact us for details.
