Crankenstein Story Window

Every month, take a wander outside of Budimir Library and discover a story! This month, be sure to check out Crankenstein, by Samantha Berger

BEWARE OF CRANKENSTEIN!

Who is Crankenstein?

HE IS A MONSTER OF GRUMPINESS THAT NO ONE CAN DESTROY!MEHHRRRR!!! HE'S ALIVE!

He may look like any ordinary boy, but when faced with a rainy day, a melting popsicle, or an early bedtime, one little boy transforms into a mumbling, grumbling Crankenstein! When Crankenstein meets his match in a fellow Crankenstein, the results could be catastrophic-or they could be just what he needs to brighten his day!

NANOWRIMO ADULT AND SENIOR WRITERS

TODAY IS DAY 1 OF NANOWRIMO

What is NANOWRIMO? Find out more at https://nanowrimo.org/

It is a time were people around the world are encouraged to write a novel that is 50,000 words minimum in length.  The focus is not on editing but writing an average 1667 words a day. It is an opportunity to meet other writers, ONLINE OR IN ORGANIZED MEET UPS.  Details can be found at  https://nanowrimo.org/

IMPORTANT: There will NOT be a meet up this year at the Muir Library because we are not having in-library programs.

As the great writer MAYA ANGELOU said "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."

Take this time to write your story on paper or on your computers.

For my part I'll be writing, sharing on this EventKeeper, the WPL Facebook and WPLInstagram pages periodically during November.

Today, feel free to email me and let me know how you are doing or if you have any questions. jbrown@windsorpubliclibrary.com

In the SUBJECT LINE put NANOWRIMO

Write well.

Ms. Janet

Remember in writing "Forget all the rules. Forget about being published. Write for yourself and celebrate writing."  Melinda Haynes

"I write because I love to... to be honest, I'd write even if I weren't being paid to (Don't let my publisher know!) Writing has always been a sanctuary or a refuge for me, any time I'm stressed or anxious or worried I find that a couple of hours expressing myself by writing always seems to have a calming effect on me. I'm sure there's some philosophy that says one of the best ways to deal with any of your problems is to take a deep breath and step away from them for a while, writing does this for me." Author Christopher Paul Curtis.

Calling all Classic Movie Aficionados!

Whether you're a casual lover of classic movies or a die-hard who has watched every title imaginable, join us through Zoom as WPL hosts a new take on a Classic Movie Club. Accessing iCloud and Kanopy's video streaming services free with your Windsor Public Library account, participants will be able to independently watch pre-selected films and also explore an award-winning collection of classic movie star biographies.  We'll meet up virtually once a month to discuss and share questions, answers and comments.  To join, please fill out and submit the on-line form at http://bit.ly/WPLClassicMovieClub.
