Breathing deeply and with ease is one of the most potent ways to connect with oneself. Thru restorative mindful movement and a short guided meditation we will thread the use of our gentle, subtle, natural intelligence of our breath to open the heart and calm the mind. Once an honored relationship is developed with our breath, we gift restoration, freedom and love to every cell of our being- in a way in which you are being met, carried and supported throughout your experience of you!
- This will be a 50 minute class ending with a 10 minute tea ceremony in which within each sip together we give honor, reverence and gratitude to all that we are in Truth.

Inner Peace Through Meditation:
How can we find inner peace within ourselves through meditation? Join Dave Buck as he explores the aspect of going within rather than without! He will discuss the blocking out of stressful triggers, finding peace by living in the current moment and all this is possible by incorporating a simple time tested meditation technique. There will even be a short meditation sitting. This can help us achieve a lasting state of peace and happiness found through no outer experience.
Dave Buck and his wife, Nora, have lived in South Florida for over 20 years. He is a recently retired Senior Manager of Product Development Engineering with a Fortune 500 company. Dave has been meditating for over 45 years after spending two months with his teacher in India as a young man. He has found meditation to be an oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the world. Whether we are a student, still in the work-a-day world, or living an active retirement, stresses and strains are a common feature of everyday living. Meditation can help us relax and rise above the stress of life. Our problems do not disappear, but meditation helps to smooth out the rough patches. We begin to see with a new perspective that is positive and life affirming.

The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak
"Kostas and Defne, a Greek Cypriot and a Turkish Cypriot, meet at a taverna and grow in their forbidden love for each other. A fig tree stretches through a cavity in the roof, and this tree bears witness to their hushed, happy meetings and eventually, to their silent, surreptitious departures. The tree is there when war breaks out, when the capital is reduced to ashes and rubble, and when the teenagers vanish. Decades later, Kostas returns. He is a botanist looking for native species, but really, he's searching for lost love."

As she follows the case of Meena—a Hindu woman attacked by members of her own village and her own family for marrying a Muslim man—Smita comes face to face with a society where tradition carries more weight than one’s own heart, and a story that threatens to unearth the painful secrets of Smita’s own past. While Meena’s fate hangs in the balance, Smita tries in every way she can to right the scales."

Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson
"Everyone in my family has killed someone. Some of us, the high achievers, have killed more than once. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but it is the truth. Some of us are good, others are bad, and some just unfortunate. I’m Ernest Cunningham. Call me Ern or Ernie. I wish I’d killed whoever decided our family reunion should be at a ski resort, but it’s a little more complicated than that. Have I killed someone? Yes. I have. Who was it?"
